History

Feed & Food Trading was founded in 1993 by Jan de Boer as a company trading in dry dairy-, vegetable protein- and starch derivates for the feed- and food industry. Since then the company has grown at a significant rate. As a result of this growth, the company moved its premises from Maarsbergen to Zeist in 2007. Michiel de Boer, son of Jan de Boer, has played a major role in the growth and development of the enterprise. He has been involved at Feed & Food Trading since its inception and has performed various functions within the organisation.

While Jan de Boer focussed on trading and the establishment and nurturing of business relationships, Michiel de Boer paid attention to further professionalizing and expanding the company, both autonomously and by taking over smaller companies. Feed & Food Trading has owned Fabelco, a producer of superior dry dairy derivates for the foodstuffs industry, since 1 January 2007. Fabelco, in turn, took over the German company VMK on 1 July 2008.
