Michiel de Boer
Managing Director‘Ever since my youth I’ve found the raw material industry most interesting. I was educated in the field by my father, the founder of Feed & Food Trading. In 1993, when the company was founded, I started out as an assistant, worked my way towards becoming a trader and eventually became an entrepreneur. This is what I enjoy, being an entrepreneur. My dream is that Feed & Food Trading may grow to become a highly visible player in the market, as a company offering a wide range of superior products. How will I achieve this? By identifying more efficient methods and applying them in a modern way.’
Jan de Boer
Founder/Advisor‘I have meanwhile handed over most of the responsibility to my son, but I remain closely involved in the business in a consulting capacity. Besides the healthy growth of the company, I believe that it is important that people are happily employed at Feed & Food Trading. We work hard, but try to maintain a non-competitive atmosphere. It’s fantastic that we are able to enjoy each other’s company outside the working environment. I am proud of the fact that I have fulfilled my dream: my one-man business has grown into a profitable, innovative company, where people like to work.’

Trader‘I have enjoyed working at Feed & Food Trading since 2001. I started out in administration, moved on to become quality manager and production planner and have now been a trader for a number of years. This position places me in constant telephone- and personal contact with clients and suppliers and I monitor the received goods for aroma and taste. I’ve watched this company grow, but one thing hasn’t changed: we are a close group of hardworking, eager to learn people, who go about their work diligently in an informal environment.’
Alan Tiemstra
Logistics Director‘I like to think that transport makes my world go round. Being employed as Logistics Director at Feed & Food Trading suits me down to the ground: I am responsible for delivering goods on time and to the correct locations. I also manage our truck depot and our warehouse in Zeist. Before joining the company, I worked as a mechanic, driver and route planner. Why did I move here? Feed & Food Trading is a great company with a lot of room for humour, personal development and initiative. Plus, we work in a lovely area.’
Luc Pouw
Logistics Manager‘I’ve been involved in this industry since 1973. Before coming here I was, amongst others, employed by a dairy raw material company and a large producer of milk replacer, always in a logistical capacity. I filled the position of traffic manager and was responsible for maintaining the incoming supply of raw material. Since 1 January 2007, I’ve been employed by Feed & Food Trading. In my position, I am responsible for invoicing and ensuring that clients receive the raw materials that they have purchased on the correct day. Feed & Food Trading is a fantastic employer, especially for those with ambition and a sense of humour.’

Sales Manager Germany‘I was drawn to the company by the fact that Feed & Food Trading has a share in the German market. As an external market manager focussing specifically on the German market, I work from my home-office located in Germany. Every four weeks, when I travel to our Zeist offices, I’m amazed by the free, relaxed atmosphere I find myself in. How did this come to be? I’m a food technology expert and I constantly monitor the quality of our products. Besides performing analyses and evaluating samples, I also register and deal with complaints and ensure that the quality handbook is up-to-date. I enjoy working here because of the relaxed, yet no-nonsense environment.’
